NYO December Basketball Clinic

Sunday December 1

at Holy Innocents Aux Gym

This popular program will be held at Holy Innocents' on December 1 and is a great way to get in the gym in a positive environment with awesome instruction. We welcome all skill levels and ensure a great experience for all!

We will provide adequate hydration breaks. Please pack your child snacks and inform the camp director of any food allergies prior to attending. All medicines can also be kept safely by the camp director.

We will focus on development both individually and in a team setting for all campers with positive instruction and reinforcement.

Coach Nichole Dixon will lead a series of coach development webinar/discussions for the development of coaches at all levels.

November 3 from 6:30-7:45pm

December 8 from 6:30-7:45pm

Coaching Development Series

This two-part coach development series is designed to provide skills, techniques, and ideas to better communicate with student-athletes, their families, and officials on and off the basketball court.

Topics:

Articulating your “why.”
Promoting a positive team culture
Communication with the players, their families, fellow coaches, and your organization
Planning practices that are engaging, organized, and efficient
Installing age-appropriate offensive and defensive schemes
Communicating standards and non-negotiables with players, coaches, and families
Coaching etiquette in practices and games
Mitigating injury in youth sports
Coaching resources
